Spottiswoode & His Enemies are a unique and quirky rock troupe from New York City who have perpetually found it difficult to find meaningful direction in their image.

After a brief brainstorming, we agreed on a simple theme of showing the group as if they had been arrested while on tour in the south of France.

Photographer Rich Pinto and stylist Kari Bauce were brought in to capture the band properly and each member was shot seated with the letterboard, and standing, for a "line-up" shot to be composited in post-production. During the shoot, they were directed in various ways so as to capture the unique personality of each member.

In addition, David Bias was called on short notice to photograph the group in their rehearsal space for an informal promotional photo.

To put the final polish on this project, Jonathan Spottiswoode also contracted us to redesign and rebuild the aging spottiswoode.com website. A modified Textpattern was used to provide content management.
