Trevor Exter is a cellist on a mission to bring the cello out of concert halls and chambers and into nightclubs and your iPod.
This project began with a website, which in addition to its bold and decidedly non-standard look, utilizes some innovative backend tricks to provide Trevor with a site that he can keep updated himself. Among many other features, the modified Textpattern CMS allows Trevor to upload MP3's for his fans and provide full lyrics and production notes via collapsable tabs that keep the vast data nice and neat.
An impromptu photo shoot in Trevor's home yielded images for both the website and promotional use.
Upon launch of the site, Trevor needed new packaging for his latest CD. The artwork began as a riff on the website and over the course of an afternoon, evolved into the modern "heraldry" you see in the sleeve spread; a look that reflects both Mr. Exter's classically trained heritage, and his persistent deconstruction of the same.
